There is a fan category of fiction called slash. It is romantic and explicit sexual pairings of fan favorites, usually homosexually. It really started with Kirk/Spock and is named after the "/" between the characters. There is an annual fan fiction convention in Houston which features a lot of slash. No, I haven't officially attended but know people who do. There is a criticism that it has turned into a get together of horny old broads. Hmmm, maybe I should check it out.
