Oddly, I met the editor of Blue Blood two years ago at SXSW interactive, as I did the editor of Fleshbot. Annalee Newitz is a good writer and I know she has shown up at SXSW more than once, but I haven't caught up with her. (I once danced with a porn star/dominatrix with a Phd in Romance Languages there one year at a sxsw party--I lose track).
Fleshbot covers things pretty well and it's a good concept, but like other gawker media properties, it is scandal obsessed and not really into providing meaningful content. Hell, it's making money; why should I criticize?
